This was an assignment from one of my art classes that I took in the summer of 2009.  The task was to think of a theme that we could then paint.  I had so much fun putting this piece together (cutting and pasting), but painting was something completely different.  Even though everything didn’t work out completely, I find this piece to be most connected with the playful side of myself.

This is the second piece that is connected to “Lost” (acrylic).  To look up at something so encompassing that there is a sense of being safe, of having a haven within the wilderness that is around.

This was a story that I couldn’t get out of my head.  I could see a girl, lost in the woods, dirty and finally at a complete end, but she looks up and sees something.  This piece is the first of two- going along with “Haven”
